I'm currently studying to be an EMT-B and will hopefully take the national registry exam following the end of this semester. I've already got a B.A. in unrelated subjects, so I've covered the typical general education prerequisites some courses have (English, stats, etc), and an A.A. in Spanish (which seems likely to be useful. I've already taken a lot of science classes (general bio and chemistry, chem for healthcare, microbiology, anatomy, human prosection, "stem cells and society," and integrated biology) and I have physiology in progress and will be taking an assaultive behavior management course shortly. Once I'm working as an EMT, I'd like to remain a part-time student to expand my knowledge and fulfill CE requiements.

I'm considering psychology (including abnormal psych), EKG reading, pathophysiology, genetics, and child/adolescent development, and I'm open to suggestions for other subjects.

What will be most useful in terms of being a great provider?
In terms of actually getting a job?
In terms of getting into paramedic school?
