Hi! I will be starting EMT-B school in September 2011. I love school any kind of school and it will definitely be a change from my current profession of computer programmer!
My overal goal is to teach EMT classes. I do have a plan in place. First, EMT-B school. Then EMT-P school (Florida has only EMT-B & EMT-P). Then get my Associates in Emergency Medical Services. Then apply for instructor credentials. I understand the best teachers have field experience. Once my EMT-B is finished and I get my creditials, I will register with EMS Reservists that our county has. This way I can gain practicel field experience, continue with school and stick with my day job.
Has anyone else ever pursued this? How did it work out for you?
