Have U Ladies&Gentlemen Noticed an increase in Assault Trauma in your response area?We are getting hammered:wacko:

Wow. Big, angry and bold.

Not really more assault calls. Though we did have a guy at Lowe's get smacked in the back of the head with a spade shovel the other day. So while the numbers aren't going up, the ferocity and creativity certainly is.

sorry about that bear I just came home after a lovely 14 hr shift when I typed my post, Although I like the shovel idea sure beat gun shot&stabbing LOL

Um, it's about the same. Had someone cut himself with a pocket knife the other day. ^_^

Fights are up.

OUrs jump around the middle and the end of the month when welfare checks are received and they get money put onto their commissary books.

nope. same as usual.

I haven't worked 911 this time of year before, so, I can't really compare to historical numbers based on the time of year, but, the last couple of months I've had more GSWs than I had the entire previous year.

Well..I can say in CT it has been steady with these type of calls. Since the economy dropped our inner city coverage areas has seen a little more violence as far as late night convenience store hold-ups but fortunetly we have not had any serious injuries as the outcome.

In this area of the country we get a lot of illegals that are looking for work or lack of work and medical "freebees". CT is one of the easiest states to get welfare and state assistance so thats why I figure our taxes are so high and it cost so much to live here.

Our biggest problem is people bringing family here "to visit" and they never leave. This taxes our work load, causes us to learn new languages and take a hit when it comes to billing/etc....

I know this is a deep routed problem in all of the U.S. but in the Northeast or where ever you live work and play violence will always be a factor that will never go away.
