California EMT certification

Hey guys new to the forum and passed my NREMT this past december 2015, just had a question about how long did it take to get your california emt certification? sent all my paper work in on the 5th of january and still havent received my license yet and its holding me back from applying to companies. Any info helps, Thanks!
 
Call your local EMS office.

Mine took about a week (Riverside Co.)
 
I live in LA county and it took me three weeks, granted it was during the Christmas and New Year holiday. Depending on how far it is, it could be in the mail. I recommend calling them and asking if they have it or have mailed it. If you're willing to drive to the office I advise picking it up. I also gave them some brownies when I dropped it off so that might have also pushed my application through faster hehe. That or the fact they wanted to get all their work done before the holidays/right after. Def give them a call
 
Mine took about three weeks. But I would not hold off on applying places. Some counties sent you a temporary card, or your E number over email and you can use that when you apply.
 
Mine took 3 and half weeks to arrive from OCEMS.

hmm the cookies are not a bad idea lol should take that into consideration
 
thanks for all the input guys! called them last week and it was processed through now just waiting for my card to be mailed, now to apply to some companies here in the IE
