An elderly woman's body was found in the wreckage of a vehicle that had been towed, nearly 30 hours after an MVC between the vehicle she had been riding in and a building. The slightly built woman was discovered under the passenger side airbag after relatives reported her missing following the incident.
Remember that size-up is a continuous process that continues during the entire incident. This call was on the other side of the country, but there's lessons here for all of us. I have no idea if it was a case of tunnel vision on the part of the responding personnel and I'm certainly not tossing darts at anyone's actions. Just a very sad lesson learned the hard way.
