A 77-year-old Seminole County woman's trip to the emergency room likely saved her life, after an airborne pickup slammed into her home and landed on a bed where she would have been sleeping, according to a Local 6 News.

Police said a 29-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle Tuesday night and slammed into the home of Arnie Fairclaw, located at Walnut Place and Springlake Road off Maitland Avenue in Altamonte Springs.

Witnesses said the pickup driver was speeding and driving erratically before slamming into the woman's home.

"I saw him clear the tracks and he was airborne," neighbor Chris Blevins said. "By the time I made it to my front door, he had already bounced a couple of times into the front of the house."

The vehicle crashed through the wall of Fairclaw's bedroom and came to a stop on her bed.
