Broke my arm but still got the job

hey there every body!! i haven't been on lately due to braking my arm. i was getting out of my car walked to the front of it and hit a huge ice patch. i slipped hit the hood of my car and then landed hard on the ice. the doc thinks i broke my arm with my head cause all i could think of when i was falling was don't hit your head. so i tucked my head into my elbow. i broke the radious right by the elbow. the worse part for me was that i had an interview for ems in 4 days and now i have a busted up arm.

well good news is they hired me on the spot and said i'll start as soon as my arm is better. oh wait it gets better this station duel license me due to this i get extra training and get bumped upto whats called an intermediate care paramedic.

moral of the story never give up on yourself!!
 
Congrats!! Sorry about the arm though...hope ya have a speedy recovery.:D
 
Congrats, and best wishes for a speedy recovery! It's really great that the company you work for is willing to hold your job for you unitl you heal.

hey every one thanks for all the "congrat". the arm is coming along slowly, but i can pick up a coffee cup now. it seems little but i almost threw a party, i really feel for the people we help now knowing what it's like to need help myself.

hmmm.... breaking a leg to make captain... i think i could make that happen :P

i'll make sure that doesn't happen, but if you guys/gals did i would know i was in good hands ^_^
