Anybody have any good resources they can recommend for handling patients with Autism? Has anybody had any training in this area?

Those reccomendations are right on target. Big point to take away. INVOLVE A CAREGIVER!!! There is no way you can know what the child's triggers will be in the 20 minutes your with them. Playing the "stand back, I'm the professional" route that so many seem to do will lead to a distressed child, a distressed parent and probably a distressed paramedic.
