I ride a motorcycle...I was curious if I could attach a single (possibly a double?) visor light to my windshield via one of those battery-to-"12v-cigarette-lighter-plug-in" adaptors?

Anybody ever done/does/tried/heard of this? I would mount something permanently, but I work for EMS and Fire so I use two different colors (green and blue, respectively.)

Lightbar such as this- http://www.whelen.com/details_prod.php?head_id=8&cat_id=64&prod_id=292

12v thingy- http://tinyurl.com/2desl3

Cheers!

youd be much better off mounting something to the fairing or a custom bracket off the frame.

also keep in mind water. you'll have to be quite careful in your wiring to prevent shorts. and you'll have to use light rated for exterior use.

Have you considered lights like the ones used by some police and EMS bike patrols?

Those run on batteries so no need for wiring. After all you are not going to have them turned on for too long, only while responding to a scene.

i wont need it for responding to a scene, just for responding to the houses. depending on how this insurance issue goes i may just get a car (seeing if i can be covered under my mom's insurance while i'm not a resident in her state[and my car isn't even registered in her state.])
