Did anybody watch the Perseid meteor shower yesterday?
Leonids (November 17th) are expected to be very spectacular this year, too. Hopefully I'll be lucky to see them. We don't have too many sunny days here...

I am never able to be outside at the proper time to see the Leonids... Someday... Someday...

Hope you get some good viewing time

I tend to stick my head out for unusual or pretty things. Too much cloud cover this year for me to see the Perseids.

I'd wanted to, but it was too cloudy. Usually the Leonids are a better bet for me anyways.

I had planned for and the alarm was set, but one of the worst thunderstorms I've seen in a long time wore us up yesterday into last nite  I sure wanted to see it bad.....but hey maybe next time.....

This is Major Tom to Ground Control...

Not quite as spectacular as a meteor shower, but a lot more frequent. The link will take you to the Manned Spaceflight webpage, where you can find out when the Shuttle and the ISS will be visible from your location. I try to have a peek whenever I can, and it's cool to think of the people inside their little cocoon, zipping around the Earth. I grew up in the 60's and 70's, so I was a part of the science push in those decades. Now, years later, I still haven't lost my facination with spaceflight.
