THREE ambulances and an ambulance station have been destroyed in an two arson attacks at Cleveland on Brisbane's bayside.

A police spokesman said they had their first emergency call at 12.20am which reported an ambulance on fire at Dunstan St West, Ormiston.

While units responded to that call, another fire was reported at Cleveland ambulance station in Wellington Street

Twenty-five crew battled the blaze.
It wasn't my station but same service, a lot of pissed off paramedics right now.

...Am I a bad person for hoping the arsonist got into an accident and required medical assistance soon after the crime?

Guess I'm not hoping, exactly, but there would be a justice to it, right?

Absolutely not....after all, what better way to show them exactly how much we care for them and all our patients by making sure that we start multiple 14 guage IV's? The fact that we might miss once or twice while trying to start that IV in each hand is irrevelant...

Little bit of an update.

Fire won't do it. Neither will nuclear bombs.

It is impossible to de-story an ambulance.

Aren't ambulances awesome!

Not Queensland Ambulances :glare:

When I watched the video associated with the incident, (actually found the vid on you tube from channel 10 after it occurred purely while searching for QAS vehicles), I was disgusted.

I don't think Australian States go far enough into the protection of Emergency Vehicles and Emergency Personnel and it is my hope that some more level of protection (even if it is a little more) can be added with harsher penalties for harm to the Emergency Services. I believe NSW recently made stricter penalties for assault on Ambulance Personnel.

I hope that this person is punished harshly if they are found guilty.
