Anyone have tips on passing the DMV ambulance operating test?

yes sorry for not clarifying

Quite alright. Just a heads up, many forum members will... not react kindly to a question that there are multiple threads on. So in the future use the search tool before you post.

With that being said. Its an easy test. Make sure you get the blue book from the DMV before you go and scan through it. Its incredibly dull. It costs $5. When you get that also get the DL51 form, the green Med Examiners card which will be attached, the request for Livescan form and the application to add an Ambulance Drivers Cert. To your DL. Fill out all that, get your LS done get your DMV Physical done, make an appt to take the test. Be prepared to be at the DMV for a while. In all likelihood they will have no clue what to do and will be checking with managers and supervisors a lot.

As for the actual test. Mostly common sense, but make sire you know when and when not to ho Code 3, what you have to have to go Code 3, lights etc. Just read the book. You have 3 tries to get it right.

Dude, just go to the DMV site and see what you must do. These are things you should be able to find out on your own.

+1

When your doc does your physical they'll fill out the DLl51 form and your green card.
