Looking for alternative fuels for ambulances due rising cost of diesel, has anyone heard of a propane powered ambulance??? Propane is more cheaper and cleaner and has been used in many vehicles before, but I have not heard of a propane powered ambulance before and Im looking for anyone who knows anything about it....

Could look into turning your ambulances into biodiesel if you have the funds to build a refinery or have one in your area. Cheaper and cleaner from what I understand. But I haven't really researched into it. Converting isn't difficult, generally a new fuel tank and new hoses that can handle the fuel, although you'll have problems in winter as the cold causes the fuel to coagulate.
