Alberta Online EMT Course

Ive been studying the CRAP out of this Mosby's Revised 3rd Edition Paramedic Text Book, and am really wondering if anyone knows any good place;s to take an EMT course online/ over the net. Ive been on more than one ride along, and really believe im ready for an online course. I currently work 4 on 4 of in dispatch and couldnt imagine finding time off to attend school regularly. SO Your input on online schools is greatly appreciated :n) Thanks in advance!

Before you try any online courses since you are in the province of Alberta then you would have to check the Alberta College of Paramedics web site to see if the online course is on the approved program list. If it's not on the list the you would not be able to take the EMT exams to be licensed to work in Alberta. Now I'm assuming you would know this since to take any EMT course in Alberta you have to be a register EMR with ACoP. I doubt that there is any online EMT courses that would be on ACoP approved EMT programs list.

The ACP doesn't list anything for online training or courses. Talk to your supervisor and see what your options are.

i did my emt course threw lakeland in vermilion and its pretty much a self study course as we get instructors that come in from time to time from nait to help teach us and answer questions sort thing. That would be pretty hard for ya im thinking for sure if there is such a thing to take the emt online. we got tested on all our scenarios and skills as well in order to pass the course so im not sure how that would work if your situation.
