I am very busy in school, and wish to get my ACLS certificate....and see where it is offered online.....full certification. (no skills required?)

Any thoughts on if this is OK, or not? I am in nursing school, and have the EMT-B....so I'll be up to date on some of the stuff.....

Thanks in advance.....

There are hybrid classes where you do all the theory and written test online and make an appointment for you megacode/practical with a testing center/instructor.(the aha heart.org or whatever website spells it out and has a course/testing center look up) I don't think you can get aha acls all online. You may run into an issue with getting a card being a basic.....though they may let you as you are in nursing school.

"ACLS online? "

No, you need to be with the patient for best results.

(I could NOT resist)

in short, the answer is, it is not possible.
If you want a real AHA ACLS card you can do as someone mentioned above by completing your classroom part online, then print a certificate out to bring to a testing center and run the mega code/practical portion in order to receive the card. There are bogus wanna be ACLS online courses but there not AHA.

The AHA hybrid ( where you can most of it online) is called "HeartCode® ACLS"

PS: How would you be "up to date" as an EMT-B?
