I was just wondering if attending an accredited EMT program vs a non-accredited EMT program will significantly affect my chances of employment after completing the EMT program? any input would be greatly appreciated...thnx in advance

At the EMT-B level, it probably does not matter.

However, in CA all Paramedic programs are accredited.

cant speak to california, but in mass all you need to get a job on an ambulance is a pulse and a ticket.

now, the program you choose might not get you in the door with the "best of the best" type services and might get you a few cross eyed glances and extra attention during your precepting, but for the most part everybody is teaching the same lame curriculum out fo the same book and everybody has to pass the same test so it doesnt really matter.
