Some general questions about Acadian.
Im from Ohio and thinking about relocating south. I've watched there recruiting videos and would like to know more before applying

Anybody know the pay rates for Acadian?
Also will they pay for you to get your medics?
What kind of benifits do they have?
What do you like about them?
What dont you like about them?
Do they have OT available?
Is the equipment new?

And anything else you care to add would be great.

Im a paramedic for acadian.....
Pay starts off at 16 $/hr for a paramedic right now I think...thats fresh off the lot tho...no prior experience...
Acadian has GREAT equipment and we get a new truck about every 250,000 miles...we work 12 hour shifts nearly company wide...we handle all transfers and emergencies in nearly our whole coverage area... We are in louisiana, Texas, and Mississippi....We have great benifits....I Love the fact that they keep us up to date on our skills through an online CBT about once every month...I do like that we are one of the largest private services in the nation...Our protocols are layed out GREAT...not to mention...working at acadian is kind of like having a huge family away from my family...

I do not like transfers however...we do handle a lot of transfers and sometimes it gets overwhelming...it comes and goes tho...sometimes you run more transfers in a shift...some times its more emergencies...I just work night shifts and that seems to keep me away from transfers.... Overall...hands down...the best company to work for in the area I am in. Hope this helps...feel free to send me any more questions you might have...
