sorry bout that... i understand where you are comming from lol
and because so many companies are using them it could be understood as protocol even though it is not... if that is a good argument to save myself hahaah
i work used to work for doctors before i went to an fd. care has really good equipment but really bad employee retention becuase they treat thier employees like crap. shaefeer and mccormick have not heard much about... i would try medix or doctors in south county because they have good equipment...
in the county that i work in our radios are programmed to all police/fire/ems channels that are registered through the county. so all we have to do is scroll through the list and select which channel to broadcast on... pretty simple you guys should do that
in my fd ems it is 2 voice pages then another unit is sent they then voice page you another time and then call the station and notify your bat chief and send another unit to cover until your status can be determined
it has happened here before and the crew got fired lmfao
in orange county cali it is protocol to have one... why i do not know i agree that it is for leo's. i find that we get more information out of a patient if we do not have the badge on.
its like that in california too, if you do stop you are supposed to provide your level of certification treatment... therefore you are working in a legal emt capacity... she wasnt altered and was ano x4 so that should have been fine... thats how i think of it
i work as an emt in maine and i have had to get a patient off on a backboard, it is not that hard after a few steps and you know how to manuver yourself. then again everyone up here gets some type of specialty snow boots so that makes it easier too... good luck
