EMTB IV just means you can give an IV. I just found out that I will not be in Dever I will be in Greeley and I found a volli sevice there, and a reserve TEMS team I am going to look into. I have always wanted to get into TEMS.

I am being stationed there as a US Army recuiter, dont hold that agenst me lol. So I will not be able to do part time paid EMS, I am stuck to the denver area. so any and all info will help a lot.

I have a IBA Interseptor body armor the was issued to me by the US Army and is rated to stop up to a 7.62mm round but its weighs alot and it costs alot. but it works, I have seen it stop 4 AK47 rounds.
I wish I had the insight that you and youe wife seem to have. Iam still new to the civilain part of EMS I am in the US Army and I too have seen some bad things and I wish I had the faith that you do.

I love EMS as well and if you dont love it then you should not be in it. They are the reason we have so much problems in EMS today. You have to really love what you do or whats the point in doing it. There are alot of other jobs out there that pay better, so you cant tell me they are in it for...
I am talking about Care under fire. It just dont seem right to treat a suspected condition, but thats just my thoughts on it. Thanks for your input on the Question.
In the US Army they tell us if a pt. is suspected of hemorrhagic shock you should give 500cc of 6% hetastarch and 1500cc NS. Does that sound right to you? Or what would you recommend?
