    Rare "Emergency" encounter

Had an interesting semi-encounter last night. Those of you old enough to remember the show "Emergency" will probably also remember that it was a primary reason for hundreds if not thousands of people to become EMT's and Paramedics. The lives of Johnny Gage and his partner Roy DeSoto were...

Gotta get one, had a few jobs where I wasn't able to get my normal kit where I wanted it to be. ie, climbing some ladders, narrow stairways, etc. So, who makes a decent backpack that allows for carrying a C sized O2 cylinder and basic trauma gear? Any actual, practical experience to share...

    Pelican EMS cases?

Anyone have any practical experience using these items? I know that they come in 3 different sizes, I'm looking at getting one for on-set storage/use in place of my soft shoulder bag. Mostly for mild trauma/first aid and diagnostic equipment. Any comments or criticisms welcomed. John E.

    Vendor to avoid

Don't know how many folks here ever need to buy their own gear but if you do, there's a vendor on Ebay that I'd avoid if I were you. Goes by the name of Balkowitsch, based in North Dakota. I enquired about buying one of his products, got a very rude, condescending reply to please take my...
