    i worked transport only when i first got my cert. while it IS a good learning experience,it tends to get very boring very quickly. so id go along with if you can get on with FDNY, then do that. running 911 is always better than routine transports.

    in PA, it doesnt matter if the daughter is POA or not, if the pt is CAOx4, its the pt's decision. i can try and talk the pt in to going by giving them possibilities as to why they feel/felt the way they did, but if they say no, all you can do is do a pt refusal. had one of those a couple weeks...

    i was thinking CHF myself before i read the actual diagnosis from the OP. sudden onset, syncope, 95% on 15 lpm, gurgling as shes breathing, and swollen ankles/feet. sounds pretty textbook right there.
