Gun on scene ? / n00b student question

You immediately leave the scene. First off, dispatch should make you stage and wait until the PD get there. YOU NEVER ENTER AN UNSAFE SCENE. The PD need to clear it first, no matter how injured the patient is. If they die, they die. Your safety and the safety of your crew is the most important...

    parking the truck

Oh my goodness. my fellow crew members got into some retarded heated debate over this stupid little question... you pull up onto a collision scene on a very big hill. one of the vehicles is letting off some sort of unknown gas into the air (let it be whatever you want. smoke, whatever. doesnt...

    Anatomical terms

no. biceps are distal to your shoulder, proximal to your elbow. your bicep is closer to your elbow than it is your shoulder...(this is just one of those examples where you have to know specifically where the bicep muscle begins/ends and what is technically considered the "shoulder.")

    Swine Flu vax....

hmmm.... That's a good question. So far as I know, here, it's not going to be required. BUT, I did hear talk at the crew hall that if it comes into our valley, the local schools will close for a week and that the EMS providers will be high priority to receive the vaccination because of the...

Becoming a Volunteer EMT - Looking for Advice

Answers: 1. Finding someone experienced in the EMS field in Seattle should be a breeze. Either call a local rescue squad or just walk in when someone is there. Tell them what you are looking for and you'll probably have several people willing to help. 2. I would be completely surprised if...

Wow. I love it and I'm going to pass it along. Thanks. Texting and driving are so stupid when put together. Completely illegal here in VA and is a primary offense.
