    Canadian reciprocity for American paramedics?

I asked my service's training officer about that and he said it will never happen. Then reason is that there would have to be total agreement between the 10 provinces and 1 territory that regulate EMS. He said that will never happen.

    Portable Radios

If they did that here suspensions would be handed out. As mfor the cell phones here in the NWT cell phones only work in the major communities. Cell phones do not work in about 90% of the NWT.

Medicine Hat College EMT-P Program thoughts

Personally I'd go to Medicine Hat College over SAIt my reason is simple. Medicine Hat College is a Bachelor degree program and SAIT isn't. To me one may get paid a bit more if they have more education. I'd rather have a degree than a diploma.

What's the Deal with EMTs on TV?

My service's chief and assistant chief are both appointed coroners. Even before they were appointed we were and still are responsible for body transport. For autopsies we have to send the body out of the NWT to Alberta as the NWT only has Coroners but no medical examiners. As well in the NWT...

In the link to the NWT the contact number for the Fort Smith EMS Department is our emergency number. The number for general enquiries is 867-872-8400. Currently there is a working group working on future legislation for EMS in the NWT. Currently we have no legislation.

EMT in Alberta looking for resume help

I don't think you need to be a registered EMR to take the licensing exam. You do need to be a licensed EMR to do a field practicum from your course in Alberta. I believe anyone who has completed a CMA accredited program in EMT/PCP can take the ACoP licensing exam. ESA in Sherwood Park is my...
