    Who Uses Blood Pumps?

So I found out that I was incorrect and the tubing we use is compatible with the Level1 infuser which is a big part of why we still carry them.

Along the lines of what Vent said: Don't be a ****, don't get me yelled at, tell me if you're not sure how to do something/what to do.

New Ambulance service in Denver Metro area?

I've seen them around but all I know about them is they have a website: http://www.metrocareambulance.com and, interestingly, their address is the same as an old Rural/Metro Aurora station. I'm not aware of any primary 911 that's not Denver Health, fire-based, Falck or AMR in the metro area.

Yeah, I've never actually heard them called anything else.

    Who Uses Blood Pumps?

Oh, to have locks... The pump fetish isn't as bad as it used to be. "They have abdominal pain? Better spike a blood pump."

    Who Uses Blood Pumps?

It has a manual pump. It's actually kind of handy for adenosine flushes.

Correct. Denver Health definitely uses them, other hospitals are hit or miss.

    Who Uses Blood Pumps?

We carry blood tubing on the ambulance- like this.. It's expected that we'll use it for any patient who might need blood transfused in the ED- trauma and GI bleed patients, for the most part. Every Front Range Colorado service that I know of carries them too. I was chatting about them with a...

What gear bags does your service use?

Oh yeah, we have 3 total Pelican cases in the ambulance. Our regular kit, Handtevy/peds kit, and a drug box.

What gear bags does your service use?

We use these Pelican cases without the inserts. We used to have Halliburton Zero cases, but apparently they stopped making them. Too bad because those were awesome! We have a separate Handtevy/pediatric kit. Fire brings the oxygen, typically. Otherwise we have a mount in the box for a D-tank.

    Stretcher wars...

Cool, thanks! I got to demo one last week and I REALLY liked it, but I didn't get to use it in any real world situations other than the DG parking lot. I'd heard second hand of some issues on hill/side angle loading, I'm glad to hear you haven't run into it. I'm sure your typical terrain is...

    Fluid Resuscitation in Sepsis

I don't disagree with you on your clinical treatment points, generally. I can count one finger the number of septic shock patients I've needed to give a pressor to. I do disagree with the gratuitous slam against urban medics.
