    Ride-Alongs

In regards to "under the table" ride alongs... These are strictly frobidden. On the basis of pt. confidentiality. If they dont have "papers" they dont ride, and that would get me in a heap of trouble.

Like I said it is not my decision. But I fail to see how it is unethical. Any student, or observer is bound by hippa, and must sign documentation of confidentiality before they are permitted to ride. These documents are notarized, and kept on file. All that lawyer stuff... Once again I...

Irregardless of what I think, if people are placed on my truck I dont have much of choice. That would be above my paygrade. I check the schedule the night before I go on shift. When I show up in the morning for crew change, there are people there, and it is what it is. In 10 years Ive only...

    Morphine v. Fentanyl

I agree that it is hard to say that one works better than the other. More a question of personal prefference really.

    Rapid Sequence Induction

So whilst in the middle of a late night post call smoke, My partner and I began discussing RSI, and PAI. Both of us have worked at different 911 services where either have been available, as well as available to us now. She and I both think that RSI is sometimes easilly abused. Do you think...

    Morphine v. Fentanyl

Just a "Just because" thread. Morphine, or Fentanyl for Traumatic Pain Management. Keep in mind... Barring getting too technical in playing the "what if" game. Just a question of peoples personal prefferences generally speaking. If you carry something other... your opinion on those too.

I didnt say would you get in the front of the truck. I said get off the truck. Do you just like to argue? C'mon. Seriously? Why would you even question this. Use logic. Of course if someone is uncomfortable with someone, they can be moved around. But sometimes this isnt an option. If the...

    Ride-Alongs

Ummmmmm... No. they dont get a choice. When you are a student, and the pt. tells you they dont want you on the truck what are you going to do? Get off the truck? I think not. All those people around them? So what exactly is going to happen when they get to the hospital? Are they going to be...
