    Interesting logic

    Immobilize or not?

Well, I guess I'm wrong, but in my defense I didn't read the part where they said it was CLEARLY muscle pain.

    Results haven't come yet?

Yeah, I'm going to call them today, but I have class soon so I can't now.

    Results haven't come yet?

A friend of mine took an on site testing and he got his results that night. Unfortunately I didn't know that was possible until after I took the test.

    Immobilize or not?

Okay, well I clearly don't have half the experience as you do, so you have to see my side. I'm going by what I was taught in my class. I'm still a virgin to this field just looking to pop my cherry.

I didn't take the national registry just the regular NYS EMT-B. It says all over the NYS website that the only way to find out results is by mail.

    Play Nice

In my opinion, all three professions are equally important, but we get jealous of each other because the other profession has an advantage. It's just stupid.

    Results haven't come yet?

I'm sure it didn't. Plus isn't all the scoring done by machine? So my question is what exactly takes six weeks?

    Results haven't come yet?

Ugh. I can't stand waiting. Why don't they just make the time longer so we don't expect it in those times.

    Immobilize or not?

You're totally swaying away from the topic. If someone is injured from dancing for forty hours, you have absolutely no clue as to what happened, wouldn't you rather be safe? It's the certification exam. Thanks for the info though. I'm super anxious and probably going to call them tomorrow.

What to expect in basic clinicals?

Well I guess it's different in other areas, but where I took my class they wanted 10 hours of ride-a-longs or clinicals, but they preferred to have us ride on the ambulance.

What to expect in basic clinicals?

I recently just finished my EMT-B course and the instructors recommended that we do our hours on an ambulance if possible. You are training to become an EMT so why not do your clinical with EMT's in the field?

    Immobilize or not?

Well I went to Google for this one. Trauma defined by Google is, "Emotional shock following a stressful event or a physical injury, which may be associated with physical shock and sometimes leads to long-term neurosis" The mere fact that the patient had fallen or whatever was due to the physical...

what Knife do you carry on duty?

15 bucks from Rescuetees.com. Good quality knife and they have great customer support. First knife was malfunctioning and they sent me a new one right away free of charge, without even wanting the old product back.

I would backboard him. Any sort of trauma that isn't clearly visible is a backboard and collar to me.

Requiring Post-High School education? (Associates Degrees / Bachelor Degrees / Etc)

Just curious. Would that mean a degree specifically geared towards EMS, or would my undergrad for PA school count?
