PHRN transfer to EMT-P in other states?

And respiratory therapy puts everyone to shame based on that theory. Ya'll (nursing and EMS) should just gang up on them.

PHRN transfer to EMT-P in other states?

The same is for an off duty medic. ;) Why do you suppose that? Because your authority as a paramedic comes from a medical director (physician), regardless if you have ever met him/her.

Well I guess teaching doesn't always mean educating.

Acid/base balance? How do you teach that if you need to know no chemistry to be an EMT?

Still thats ridiculously fast. Our fastest door to balloon time when I worked in a lab was 9 mins. Which means is kinda unbelievable, but EMS contact to PCI would be no where close. In the 9 mins you gotta get the patient on the table hooked up, prepped, set up a sterile field, get a needle and...

Scrubs in a pre hospital setting?

When you go to a place where you have to wear scrubs (like a procedure room or OR), that's exactly why you'll hate it. So chilly in there, except if you are scrubbed in, in lead, or a combo of both.

    PA Student Blog

Interesting that you use a combined A+P book and don't even have a biochem one. Though I don't know anything about PA curriculum.

I guess the follow up to this is what is PCWP? Why do we even care? Edit: And I guess, cardiac output. How do you measure it using a Swan? Explain mathematically as well.

I almost flew halfway across the country and stayed in a hotel for my MCAT as the closest one was 400 miles north in rural Maine for the date and time I wanted. Thankfully I found a seat opening 1.5 miles from my house later.

    Suggestions for A&P Book?

And the 12th edition can be a scroll, grrh. I hate e-books, but worth acquiring over a textbook when I only look up a topic here or there for clarity.

Is it a bad idea to float a LGTB thread here?

This sentence pretty much demonstrates the major thought process of individuals in this regard. We treat 'em like everyone else and I don't see an issue, but I'm just going to use a pejorative phrase to describe that individual...

Are Medics Esentially RNs In rigs

In a world where college degrees, specifically bachelors, are becoming the norm for entry level jobs, its not like this is groundbreaking or even a challenge for people to obtain. We are at a time where more people are going to college and completing it. As such it would be expected that a BSN...

Based on some of the naming, you are in Australia or similar country? Also you use methoxyflurane in a ambulance? Thats kinda cool. In the US, I would say single use vial for many of those are way more common (except like ipratropium, albuterol, now epi 1:1000 etc.).

Btw you shouldn't be drawing up medications. Additionally, you should be using a filter...May not hurt the patient tomorrow or ever (for you), but its just poor practice. SHFD, yeah thats the only drug I thought an ambulance might have, though they do make multi dose vials of epi 1:1000 edit...
