I am taking my NC EMT-B exam on Weds morning. then my Intermediate Classes begin next Monday the 11th, talk about nervous because you cant continue in our Curriculum program without your EMT-B cert.....
I was taught two reliable ways: Cotton 2x2, if it dries with a brown ring after a few minutes, then its positive for CSF. The other way was using Ph paper... if it is a certain color, then its positive. I would have to look that one back up.

Oh My, you have no idea how cold it got here this week. It dropped to 6 degrees, -8 with the wind factor... Brrrrrr! But you know me, I was walking around in Teva flip flops, Running pants and a fleece jacket! lmao!

I am currently doing my EMT-B in my medic program now. By January I would be able to work Routine Transport for a Level II hospital. I am intrigued by this type of work for these reasons: Experience with stretchers, patients, assessment and emergency vehicle driving. It would also serve me well...
In all seriousness, I wasn't nervous about school before I started, but now after 1 month I am freakin' scared!!!! OMG! Is this normal? Don't get me wrong, it's a good scared, but still...:wacko:
