Hey everyone,

I'm new to the forum and I've looked around on here but haven't really found what I'm looking for so I thought I'd ask. I was wondering if any of you that have gone through the Lenoir Hybrid Paramedic program are from California? More specifically Northern California. I'd like to know how easy or difficult it was to do your clinical and field time and also possible locations. Any information would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hello,

Did you ever end up doing the Hybrid program at Lenoir? if so, how was it?

Thanks

Yeah you’re not going to get a reply from the OP if you’re waiting for one. They’ve not been on in two years

I've precepted a few Lenoir students in the ER and the quality varies. I had one guy tell me up front that he's only there because he has to get his paramedic for a promotion at the fire dept. I've also had a few there were outstanding and knew their stuff. Basically, if you are capable of learning on your own and you are self-disciplined enough to do the work, study, and get your clinicals done, the program might work for you. I've heard that it's a lot of self-teaching and not much actual lectures. If you need that to stay on task, this program might not be for you. I think anyone considering this program should also have a few years of experience and solid clinical skills (IV's, medication administration, etc.). This program is not a good idea for anyone who is new to EMS and who is unsure of their knowledge or skills.
