In four years I outlasted three chiefs. GS employee chiefs at that. Of course a USAF fire chief back then was a GS-13; now that is like a parking lot attendant.

What's this "Chief" thing? I worked for a living! (rescueman, dispatch, hydrantman...no chief).
Tincanfireman and I are USAF FF alums, different eras. He didn't have to feed the horses.
