Okay, thank you. There was no agreement (it's a very rural area and they take basically all volunteers). So even if I'm not attached to a firehouse I will not lose it?

I have an EMT-B certification. This firehouse paid for it. I'm currently in Maryland and the original firehouse is in Maryland. And they told me that if I leave the firehouse then I lose my certification (because I won't be attached to a firehouse).
