Hello everyone,
Well it has been a while since I have been on. I finally passed my state EMTB exam and got a job. I was on the job for about two weeks and realized that I am going to have problems lifting. I have to use a bariatric stretcher in my company and they alone are about 150 pounds. I pulled my back, and now my bicep tendon and I am out on medical leave and can not return till I get clearance.
My doctor is telling me that I am not suited for the job and plus the fact that I am fifty years old also. Any advice? I worked hard to get to this point have tried therapy and rest, and recovery and feel that maybe they are right?
With this knowledge where could I go next with my training that would not require any lifting. Please advise, I need some help from you EMS buddies. Thanks ladies nd Gents any advice I would greatly appreciate...
