I am an Emergency Medical Technician with more than 4 years experience of patient care, transportation, activity therapy, education, office administration and behavior health aide. My focus has been on the customer service of patient needs and goals to further advance patient care and treatment. I've educated patients on Diabetes as well as assisting and conducted activity therapy groups. Driving patients to and from their facilities and the H.O.P.E. Center, I learned how to transport Psychiatric and Geriatric patients safely. I have many friendships with the patients I care for and know all of them by a first name basis. I maintain a clean and safe patient setting everyday while utilizing the PC to enter and retrieve emails, facility updates, and patient information as well as answering multiple line phones while operating a fax and copy machine. Using my Assault Behavioral Management training, I have De-escalated stressful situations with patients and maintained the safety of the facility. For my current employer, Laguna Dana Urgent Care, I have assessed and prioritized patients as they enter the facility and quickly inputted all of their medical information into the computer systems while answering phones, faxes, high patient traffic and back office requests.
