Sometimes people call me "paramedic", which makes me want to punch somebody in the throat.

Sometimes people call me an "ambulance driver", which makes me want to punch THEM in the throat.

In EMT Class, I was referred to as "Major Tom". This was because a classmate of mine put on a KED, a motorcycle helmet, and a pair of aviators, and I began singing "Space Oddity".

In the EMT Class I help out with, I am referred to as "Boy Wonder", due to a story involving training on radios from my class. ("Batman, this is Boy Wonder!")

My boss usually calls me things that can't be posted on here unless I censor them, but that's against the rules, so use your imaginations.

I just joined my volunteer ambulance squad so technically I'm a newbie, cadet/member, and EMT-B.

I don't mind in fact I actually kinda like being the new kid, nobody knows me and it gives me a great oppurtunity to open my mind to new things.

The guys at my Fire Station all refer to me as 'The Blonde that always smells good' and 'Paramedic Girl' , but my new official title is also Newbie Paramedic! Loved reading all of your reponses! You guys (and girls) are cracking me up! :lol:

In EMT-B Class they called me MT Man (7 years of Ski patrol)and about half way through the class Rollover (I rolled over the school van).

After the class

The squid in Vt I kept Rollover because I kept the class with them.
At the squid in CT newbie, JR, cadet/member, EMT-B, the one who refuses to drive buss, and crew chef.

I love to just drop that title around health professionals and proceed to watch the horror in their eyes. Just last night, nurse in ER trauma room: "Are you guys an ALS crew?" Me: "No....*pregnant pause* In fact, *I* am an EMR." *another pregnant pause* Nurse: "Well, you guys can go home then!"
