Hey folks,
So i have always had this idea of going down to a country in South America, say, Costa Rica, to start my career. I figure it would be a good opportunity to learn Spanish (which would be very helpful, as I live in California), enjoy the place I work in (I surf a lot, and CR is basically the holy grail of the Pacific Coast of the Americas), and enjoy my time as a medic. I am still young, and I have a bit of time here to figure things out and do something interesting with my license.
The concern I have is that my experience I receive down there would either reflect poorly on my record or count for nothing. I wouldn't want to shovel a year of my life into a pit that helps me get nowhere. Does anyone have experience working abroad? Pros, Cons? Help is much appreciated!
