How would you define the overall culture of the EMS medic?
Through literature we have lots of views of the cultures of, say, Police, Military and even Firefighters that includes views of their relationships with themselves, loved ones and the people whom they work for, with, and serve.
With EMS medics, however, most of what I read leans toward the burnouts, blood and guts and we all know there's so much more. What can you share with us about your experience of the culture that defines your chosen professions (recognizing that, for example, there's slightly different characteristics in private vs. public sectors)?
