New to Colorado. Who does the TEMS in the city is it EMS, or Sherrief of other. Looking to get certified as well any suggestions.

In Colorado Springs the Fire Department has one ALS engine company that is TEMS certified. They work closely with CSPD SWAT, and went through the CONTOMs. They are not armed however, though they do have a sweet unmarked Sprinter that is their crew carrier and ambulance if for some reason the responding AMR unit is unable to transport. I am not sure if they work with El Paso County Sheriff, who I know also has a team.

Not too sure about the rest of CO.

In most places going through a TEMS course does not mean that you can apply to police departments as "tactical medic," if you are unaffiliated with a team or supporting government agency (like CSFD), I am not sure what spending a lot on a TEMS class will get you.

Poudre Valley Ambulance Service and Thompson Valley Ambulance does TEMS. But, I think they require a certain time spent on the ambulance agency before going TEMS.
