nremt recert acls

Just took AHA ACLS, PALS (2-day) and PHTLS Courses. Can these be used hour for hour under the refresher part of the cont ed recert.

This is my first time going through the recert process for NR. PA requires 18 hours a year to maintain medical command status.

Hey Frank, ACLS does not count for your hours, its just a required certification for NR. According to this NREMT document http://www.nremt.org/nremt/downloads/EMT.Paramedic.pdf

Your only allowed to apply a maximum of 12 hour from any one topic area but PALS and PHTLS can be applied hour for hour, if I am reading this correctly. Check out the above document.

It says ANY standardized course and has ACLS listed.

Now it also says to list my acls expiration but I assume by their wording that I can count it against the 48 hour requirements probably mandatory cardiology.
