I have looked at AMR online. They are not hiring in my area. Should I just look up the address and show up with a resume? Is that standard procedure?
????????????
Any help is much appreciated.

Never apply online. Always take in your resume. Most places require you to bring in a drivers history print out (it's called an H6 here in cali) with your resume.

In this economy you're going to need to do more than just check websites. Print out a stack of your resumes and start calling around. Then, it can't hurt to show up in person nicely dressed with resume in hand. You never know what will happen. Once you hand them out I'd send an email to follow up with the person you met, and then follow up with them again if you don't hear anything back.
