Is there a charge to take these programs? How are they administered and monitored? I've looked through the FEMA web site but never really took the time. Was just hoping someone here had info they can share.

They are all free. You take the class once and you don't really ever have to take it again (depending upon employer).

No charge.

Administered through online testing on the FEMA site, not really monitored.

If you do those 3, you might as well do 800 and the WMD and chemical response ones on the TEEX website also

Actually I'm having a hard time finding them. I'm on the FEMA site but I see a few different ones from each number. Is there a difference between say A and B?

There are a lot of 100s lol

Ok...got em...I'll start them when off my shift tomorrow. What threw me off was the list of different .xxx after the 100 and 200. But after looking at 100.b and 200.b they're just updated versions of the originals.

Google "FEMA ICS _____"

100:
http://training.fema.gov/EMIWeb/IS/is100b.asp

Right side of the screen, "Interactive Web-based course". Click it.
Right side of the screen, "Take Final Exam". Click it.

http://training.fema.gov/IS/NIMS.asp

Or Google "FEMA Independent Study". Should be the first site that comes up. Click on it. On the Independent Study page, click on "NIMS Courses". The classes linked on the following page that you want are:

IS-100.b (ICS 100) Introduction to Incident Command System
http://training.fema.gov/emiweb/is/is100b.asp

IS-200.b (ICS 200) ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents
http://training.fema.gov/emiweb/is/is200b.asp

IS-700.a National Incident Management System (NIMS), An Introduction
http://training.fema.gov/emiweb/is/is700a.asp

IS-800.b National Response Framework, An Introduction
http://training.fema.gov/emiweb/is/is800b.asp

BTW... IS-922 is a good one for the interested... new course... my kinda stuff...
