There is actually much more involved with their hiring process.

This is from their website;

"Using P.O.S.T (Police Officers Standards of Training) guidelines we conduct a neighborhood check in addition to a past employment check which includes speaking with the applicants' previous employers, co-workers, schools and personal references."

BTW: If you want to taken seriously by any company you should have your H6 printout and county, CPR, and CA DMV certs before you apply. If you're under 21 you won't need the DMV cert or H6 because I have not heard of anyone hiring drivers under 21. The company will send you for your LADOT permit once they hire you.

From my experience at several companies here in southern California, they always require an H-6 printout and your Ambulance driver's certificate from the DMV regardless of age.
