I've searched this site and found a few threads that cite national studies on EMT salaries and I've found them to be a little vague. I thought it would be interesting to see what we EMT's are actually being paid in different areas. This could prove valuable to any of us looking to relocate. You may not wish to list your actual salary, and that's ok. Generalities will suffice for the purposes of this thread. Please participate as this can serve as a good benchmark in the future.
Example:
Volunteer EMT-B & Fireman
Idaho Falls, ID
Rookie Pay: $12/hour
Veteran Pay: $12/hour
Total Work Hours a Week: 11 (I'm in a rural area)
Overtime pay: n/a
Benefits: n/a (insurance, 401K, etc.)
