EMT-B Class question

My favorite is when I'm teaching students BPs and they take mine and tell me something dumb like 125/93.

Oh really?

Oh, I love that. I told this student to not lie to me about blood pressures. If you can't get it, just tell me and I'll grab it. He told me 215/93. I told him to retake it. Then he got 155/143.
I told him that I'd just get it and I got 134/92. This repeated once more and I decided to sit down with him and teach him how to get a blood pressure. He told me that he had been told to go after when the gage bumps and that's the BP. I had the same instructor when I was going through EMT class and there's no way he said that. The rest of the night I kept double checking, but he was pretty close with every blood pressure after that.
I realize it's tougher to get a BP in an ambulance, but this was just out of hand. I had other students from that class that were proficient.
