A few weeks ago I went to a NREMT test prep that was free with a major Los Angeles County EMS provider. We were told that for 2010, suctioning time for an adult was being reduced from 15 to 10 seconds and 10 to 5 seconds for a child. Infant times would remain the same at 5 seconds.
I was asked a couple suctioning questions on my NREMT exam and I passed using the new guidelines but I think they were marked as wrong on my multiple choice test at another local BLS provider.
I'm a little worried now, is there anywhere on NREMT's site to find out the latest guidelines?
