So from what i have heard from some employees at Care ambulance is that they are gonna try to take riverside county for ALS.
Any thoughts on this?

This. That rumor has been going around for several years. I don't see AMR giving up the contract for riverside county very easily at all. They would have to replace AMR- Riverside North, AMR- Riverside South, AMR- Hemet/Pass, AMR-Desert Cities/Palm Springs, and AMR- Desert Cities/Blythe. That would require a ton of resources and easily millions upon millions of dollars.http://m.pe.com/articles/county-758109-amr-riverside.html
Nope. Not until 2030. They can run ift in the county and city now though.

Care is actually doing BLS IFT for Riverside now. If I remember right either it was Riverside city or county that looked at the contract with AMR and ended it with them and contracted Care to also provide IFT services there. So now both are in Riverside.
Care is only ALS IFT in LA County so far.
may i ask where in LA? the program has been up and running at least a month or two. i go to zone 1, 2, and 3 all cares areas. i've been to PIH and beverly, etc. basically the whole gamut of where Robert cars run (and Tom and Ida) yet i've seen als care twice; at gardena and Los Al in OC. spotting ALS care is like trying to find the penny your preceptor hid first day of internship.
No contracts were lost. The City of Riverside had up to recently only issued permits to AMR for IFT transport within the City limits. It has since been opened to other agencies.Care is actually doing BLS IFT for Riverside now.
