I am noticing that here in CA one of the preferred certificates for ER techs is a basic dysrythmia certificate. A quick google search brought up a few online courses and a few that were taught in class. Any thoughts on which way to pursue this?
During my six years as a tech at a level one in Oregon we were never asked to interpet EKG's some of the techs that had medic experience would offer up their opinion but it was up to the PA or MD to make the call on how to proceed. I had intended to get a hold of Dubins book and start studying up but that was when I was still considering going for my medic or RN.
