I heard a couple bad things about the class... and good things, I am finishing up my clinicals for my EMT-I, and would like your opinions on the class. Will it be difficult and have any tips for me?
I will be getting the book tomorrow and will start reading it. I have a month to read the book, I hope I will have enough time to fully understand the book so I will have no problems in the course.

I agree taught properly it is one of the better courses out there. The book is pretty good reading as well.
