Ambulance stolen from ambulance bay in Indianapolis

IEMS Medic 44 was stolen from the bay at Community East just after 0600 this morning. All IEMS ambulances are equipped with GPS tracking, and the ambulance was located after a brief police chase/search. Thief had driven ambulance through a fence, onto a golf course. Minor damage to the ambulance. Not sure if it's been returned to service yet. Thief apprehended onsite by IMPD.

Before they found the suspect, police set up a perimeter all around the Maple Creek Golf Course. They brought in police dogs to find the driver. They were able to locate the ambulance pretty quickly because EMS says it's equipped with a tracking device

Or you just look for the big white ambulance sitting on a golf course.

You mean there aren't driven-through fences and ambulances on every golf course?!
