So my friend found this idea for a new product (done as an engineering school design project) online and forwarded it to me:

It's basically a device for cooling saline for therapeutic hypothermia. Not being an ALS provider myself, nor having worked in a...
Not to start a whackerish thread, but my boots have definitely seen better days and I'll be needing replacement soon. I presently wear Bates (no safety toe) and love them, only thing I'd change is the lack of zipper. For my next pair, I was thinking of getting these...
Well, what many in the industry have been predicting for a while has finally come to pass-2012 will be the last year for the E-Series. It will be replaced by a new version of the Transit, which is currently in use in Europe.
While I look forward to seeing what the Transit can do over here...
My campus service recently got a new Director of QA/QI. We're looking into ways to help him adjust to the job and were wondering if there is such a thing as a QA/QI training course. Does anyone know of any, particularly in the Boston area?
Thanks!

I saw this linked on another site. It looks very well done and seems like it could be a good training aid.

In class we were taught that inserting the NPA on the left side is not preferred, but if it does need to be done, the bevel should be cut so that it faces the septum as it would when inserted via the right Nare. Upon reviewing my textbook tonight however, it said to insert the NPA upside down...
My name is Rob and (as of tomorrow morning) I'm an EMT-B student. I've been a junior member of my town's volunteer ambulance for nearly two years. I'm very excited to be starting the course (my age precluded me from doing so previously). I've been lurking on EMTLife for quite some time and...
