i didnt know plainfield paid after 6 months. argg i wish my squad paid me haha i haven't gone...

towards the end of my EMT class, we are required to do 10 hrs at a hospital. The good thing is, the program I'm taking classes with talked to the hospitals and got the times set for us. we just need to sign up for when we want to do it.
my first call was a elderly lady at a senior citzens home. She fell and hit her head. The patient's room was on the 4th floor, we got the cot and our jump kit in with our 4 man crew only to find out that the elevator wouldn't go up to the 4th floor. we then headed back down to the first floor...
i was wondering why they had that one there.. and it just hit me today that it was there because of april fools.. silly me haha i thought someone hacked into google and put that there haha
If I take the classes and take the test and get certified as an EMT-B, is that certification valid in other states besides the state i get it in?
in other words..
I live in NJ and am on my way to get EMT-B certified. If I go to college next year in NY, is my EMT-B certification still valid...
What do you guys think? I think rescue breathes are needed because the organs in our body need oxygen and compressions will only be pushing de-oxygenated blood through the body if breaths are not given every 30 compressions.
I just started EMT-B class and the rescue squad I volunteer for got me a stethoscope. It's not the best but it works great. It's a Adscope and does what it should. I'm probably going to get a better one after I get into med-school. But for now, this is more than enough for me as a student who is...
